  3. Ian Stewart, the former MP for Eccles (who lost selection battles with Keeley and Blears for the new 2 Salford constituencies last time), has been selected to be Labour Mayoral candidate in Salford’s first mayoral contest

  4. It would be fun if Iain Lindley were to be his Tory opponent, even though he would have no chance of winning. Wonder how the rebuilding of Vote UK is going?
