I can’t believe the current proposals are to include Hans Town in Westminster & Kensington.

Hans Town is one of the 4 wards in Kensington & Chelsea that would be considered to be Chelsea and not Kensington.

While I appreciate the adding of Earls Court to C & F may be down to a feeling that it is similar to areas on the Fulham side Earls Court is nether the less Kensington and not Chelsea.

Why not swap Hans Town for Earls Court so that Hans Town remains in Chelsea & Fulham?

They aren’t that rare in London. the neighbouring seat of Cities of London & Westminster (at least the Westminster part – the city doesn’t count) is another. There is also Romford, Ruislip Northwood & Pinner, Croydon South, Beckenham, Bromley & Chislehurst, Old Bexley & Sidcup

Chelsea & Fulham is one of those rare Conservative seats that has a full slate of Conservative Councillors.

One would imagine Labour will be working hard to change that fact, at least on the H&F side where they realistically need to gain wards to take back the Council.

The 3 vulnerable wards are Cremorne (K&C), Fulham Broadway (H&F) and Sands End (H&F). The rest are all very safe Conservative now.

Thats interesting. I’ve seen a couple of episodes again recently and the area does look quite shabby still compared with now. In simialr vein I believe Festive Road where Mr Benn lived was also in Putney – based on the real Festing Road which appears to have gentrified heavily since Mr Benn’s day

I think part of it was. If not it certainly wasn’t far away – I remember spotting the Duke’s Head pub on Putney riverside in one episode in which Arfur & Tel were having a drink together, so very close to Fulham.

I see that Sir Simon Milton is AGAIN being pursued re his expense claims.

I hadn’t realised he earned 127ka pa as an advisor to Boris.

He claimed over a grand for Conservative Party Conference accomodation at taxpayers’ expense!
