May I correct a slight inaccuracy in your description about me please. I did not join Robert Kilroy Silk’s Veritas Party as you state. I remained a Member of UKIP. That was why Hockney and I wanted to call our Group ‘Veritas-UKIP’ – Hockney was a member of Veritas and I was a member of UKIP. But as you say, UKIP didn’t agree to that and refused to renew my membership of UKIP when it became due in June 2005. So Damian Hockney and I formed the One London Party to focus on London issues.

Pete, Noel Lynch was an assembly member before, so I suppose people voted for him on the basis of his previous experience.

Not to mention that Sian doesn’t get to decide her place on the list – it’s decided democratically by the party!

Its surprising that Sian Berry isnt higher up the Green list. One isnt suprised that the two incumbents are ahead of her, but while three Green seats is achievable (as it was achiebved in 2000) four seats are beyond them. Perhaps she isnt very interested in serving on the Londonassembly..

The English Democrats did not contest the London Elections in 2004.
