An IMPORTANT note about candidate profiles (in a “please actually read this” way) The majority of mail I receive is from candidates wanting to add their details to the election guide part of the site. To save time please read these guidelines before doing it! The profiles here are intended to give brief biographical details – they are not a platform for candidates to sell themselves, and hence while I welcome the necessary information as it saves me looking it up, I don’t take submissions as such; I write them myself.
The information I try to find on candidates is year and town of birth, senior school and first university attended. Occupation. Local government service. Previous Parliamentary, European or regional candidacies and ministerial or frontbench service.
Please don’t waste your time telling me anything else, since I won’t use it – to give some specific examples, I do NOT gather info on marital status & children, where people live, local government candidacies or parish council membership, your love for animals or your great works for charity. Not reading these guidelines will not invalidate your submission, but it will gradually sap my whole faith in humanity.
If you want to send a photo for a candidate profile, it’d be much appreciated if it was a jpg 50px by 60px, but if you aren’t tech-savvy don’t worry. My email address is for attachments is here, but please do use the form otherwise.

Please note, there is only me updating the site and I have a full time job as well – so there is often a long backlog of candidates, photos and profiles. I will try to do as many as possible, but the priority will be adding candidates who are not yet listed at all.

At the risk of stating the obvious, please do mention which constituency you are standing in and the party you are standing for. Several people have omitted it, and it does make it hard to add them!
