The Boundary Commission for England have announced that they formally submitted their final report on the new boundaries to Lord Falconer on the 31st October. The Parliamentary Constituencies Act 1986 says he is required to lay it before Parliament “as soon as may be after a Boundary Commission have submitted a report to the Secretary of State”, although in practice this took about 10 weeks the last time the boundaries were changed in 1995.

Andrew Percy has been selected as Conservative candidate for Brigg and Goole, leaving the finalists for Cleethorpes next week as Martin Vickers and Alan Lockwood.

The finalists for the open primary to select the Conservative candidate in Bolton West on the 9th November are confirmed as Susan Williams and Stephen Ogden.
