No such change with Ipsos-MORI, Labour remain ahead though it conceals an increase in all the main parties’ support at the expense of “others”. The topline figures with changes from the most recent MORI poll are CON 36% (+3), LAB 41% (+3), LDEM 16%(+1).

The Sun’s report doesn’t make clear exactly when the poll took place, but Peter Riddell in the Times suggests it was partly done over the weekend. The other findings of the poll also suggest that it must have been conducted since the murder of Rhys Jones and the shift of the political debate onto the issue of law and order – the proportion of people naming law and order as the most important problem facing Britain has risen by 18 points since last month, with 55% of respondents now citing it as the most important issue.
