  1. I am a Labour Party member but will be voting for UKIP in euro elections and the rest of my household will do the same.

  2. Another election another lack of Pirate Party candidate.

  3. Lab 29
    Con 24
    UKIP 18.5
    GRN 10
    LD 8.5
    BNP 2
    Other 8

  4. Can we have a decent selection of options next time please?

These are all either insane or have previously proven themselves to be utterly useless.

  5. No Loony Party candidates, either 🙁

  6. Does anyone know approximately what time the results are expected to start coming on Sunday night?

  7. I’ll take that as a ‘no’ then. 😉

  8. **************** HI ANTHONY WELLS ****************

Do you happen to know when the first GB results will likely come in tonight? I’m supposed to be attending an election night function at a friend’s house so want to know when to head out. Cheers.

  9. Counting have just started in many places. Authorities should wait for Italy to finish voting at 22 before starting announcing official results

  10. But they could be pretty quick, all in a bunch, after that.

  11. The election coverage on BBC 1 doesn’t start till 11 pm which seems very late if results can be announced from 10pm. The count in this area is starting at 5pm (or rather did start at 5pm presumably – I am due at the count but will be fashionably late). I know it is a whole district with maybe up to about 50,000 ballots nut I trust it won’t take 5 hours to count them all. I shan’t be staying there for 5 hours in any case

  12. I wouldn’t be surprised if Twitter has unofficial hints at results before 10pm.

  13. Thanks peeps. Bit surprised that they could all come in so quickly after 10pm as last time I seem to remember it being more staggered than that.

Also, I would have thought there might be delays in London given (a) the size of the ballot, and (b) the fact that some people probably thought they had three votes due to confusion arising from the local elections being held on the same day (which is why London seats were so late in declaring in the 2010 General Election).

  14. Looking forward to the coverage starting.

Sticking with my prediction from January of 3 Labour, 2 Conservative, 1 Lib Dem, 1 Green and 1 UKIP.

  15. Ashcroft has an exit poll for the Euros for GB:

    UKIP 29%
    Con 24%
    Lab 21%
    LD 8%

  16. Or maybe not…

  17. Rumours about Labour being neck-and-neck in Wales with UKIP coming from the Labour camp apparently.

  18. I still think Wales will be 2 LAB, 2 UKIP

  19. All I want to know who the MEP for the Merton area is. Is it really democratic to expect people to vote for an unknown individual whose credentials and expertise are unknown? My local Council does not know who the MEP for this area is – does anybody know? Whoever it is cannot claim to be democratically elected, as nobody knows who they are
